Loquela-Instep UK partnership

Loquela Associates has been selected as the E-learning Partner for one of the Northwest’s leading Training and Development Consultancies, Instep UK.

Instep were keen to expand their business model to provide a much broader offering to their many long-standing, prestigious clients and provide an impressive competitive edge for winning new business.

Our first task is to help Instep UK develop and support their  own in-house Online Training Management system capable of delivering a variety of online and blended training offerings.

Loquela is responsible for developing , hosting and supporting the Instep Online Training Platform using Moodle.

In addition we hope to be developing new online training programmes as well as converting Instep’s traditional print and face-to-face-based training materials into engaging online and blended learning experiences.

Moodle Upgrades

We recently upgraded the Moodle installations for Oakridge Online and Manchester Adult Education Services Online Learning Platform. These upgrades were essential to address known security issues.

Manchester Adult Education Services Moodle

Manchester Adult Education Services at Manchester City Council wanted to migrate their Moodle learning platform from their old America-based data centre and hosting service and bring it back home to the UK. MAES approached Loquela because of our many years of experience of hosting and working with the Moodle VLE.

Having migrated the entire site from the servers in the US to our own Nottingham-based data centre, we continue to host the service on behalf of Manchester City Council and provide ongoing support.

Hugh Baird College 360 degree feedback

This 360 degree feedback was based obn the same application developed for the AstraZeneca project. However, this time the questionnaire and reporting functions were significantly modified to create the output in the specific format required by the college.

AstraZeneca 360 degree feedback

In October 2009 we developed a Moodle-based 360 degree feedback assessment tool. This was activity was part of the AstraZeneca in-house development programme Acting Decisively and was distributed to more than a hundred AstraZeneca workers in Sweden and the UK.

The fact that the 360 degree feedback application was online and worked seamlessly within Moodle made it extremely easy and cost effective to manage.

SUPERGEN PV21 Joomla Development

PV21 is a project which forms part of the SUPERGEN (Sustainable Power Generation and Supply) initiative, a programme of research at UK universities funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

This Joomla-based website project was commissioned by the Physics Department of Durham University in partnership with SUPERGEN (Centre for Solar Energy Research) at Glyndwr University.  Loquela Associates was commissioned to convert the visual designs of the website into a Joomla Content Management System  that is used primarily for managing and publishing research documents for the project.

People’s Voice Media

Oakridge 360 degree feedback tool

We recently completed a major development project on behalf of Oakridge Online for one of their largest pharmaceutical clients. The 360 Degree Feedback was deployed to an international delegation from the US, Sweden and UK.

CSER Joomla project

The Centre for Solar Energy Research is working on a Feasibility Study sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government and Glyndŵr University. Loquela was commissioned to develop and host their Joomla-based website.

Oakridge Training and Consulting

Oakridge Training and Consulting is a Leading training consultancy based in Cheshire with such clients as AstraZeneca, Molnlyke, Greater Manchester Police, Shell, Ofsted…

We were selected back in 2006 to set-up, develop and maintain their online and blended Training Management System using Moodle and we have been taking care of it ever since.

As well as supporting the Oakridge online Training Management System, we have also developed a bespoke 360 Degree Feedback tool that integrates seamlessly with the Moodle installation and has been deployed successfully for a number of Oakridge clients.
